I invite you to visit and enjoy the City of Lawrence’s outstanding recreational facilities and parks which highlight the natural beauty of our city. We have 9 city parks, totaling 280 acres, where you can hike, play sports or take your children to a playground – but there is so much more.
In addition to our first class parks, we also offer a number of recreation programs including a variety of activities for seniors and special event celebrations throughout the year. There are also a number of organized youth sports leagues in Lawrence, and you will find them listed below.
And don’t forget, many of the parks have all the equipment you need to host a class reunion, family celebration, summer party or wedding reception.
