Welcome to the City of Lawrence Controller’s Office website. With a staff of five, including the Controller, this Office works to ensure the accurate and efficient management of the City’s finances.

At our location citizens can:

  • Purchase lawn “brown paper” bags
  • Apply for alarm permits, dog licenses, peddlers permits, dance hall permits, and other non-construction licenses and permits (Construction licensing is handled by the Building Department on the 3rd Floor of the Government Center)
  • Pay parking tickets and other ordinance violation tickets (Moving violations are paid at Court Room 13, 9049 East 10th Street, Indianapolis - corner of 10th Street and Post Road)
  • Obtain various financial information including accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgets, annual reports and audit reports

At our location vendors can:

  • Submit invoices
  • Submit bids
  • Inquire on the status of purchase orders and payment of invoices
