Water Utility: Flushing Notice
City of Lawrence Utilities will begin flushing water mains in the City of Lawrence with work beginning Sunday, April 13, 2008. We will flush Sunday through Thursday for approximately four weeks. All work will be performed between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.  

Mayor's Advisory: Road Entrance Closed
Effective March 25, 2008, the north entrance to Mowery Street (off of Pendleton Pike) will be closed for the next six to eight weeks as part of the ongoing construction on Pendleton Pike by INDOT.  

News  Release: Possible Rain Difficulties
Mayor Ricketts has announced the City of Lawrence is taking all necessary steps to prepare for possible drainage issues connected with the predicted 2” to 4” rainfall in the central Indiana area over the next 36 to 48 hours.

Black History Month Celebration
Mayor Paul Ricketts is pleased to announce the City of Lawrence will once again host the annual Black History Month Celebration at Lawrence Central High School (7300 E 56th Street) on Tuesday, February 26th from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The keynote speaker will be Professor Brandon Cosby from the University of Indianapolis. 

Mayor Ricketts to Give State of the City Address
Mayor Paul Ricketts will be giving his first State of the City address on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 7:30 AM. The Greater Lawrence Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Mayor’s Breakfast at the Ramada Inn, located at the corner of Pendleton Pike and I-465, where the Mayor will be delivering this important speech.

Ratepayers To Benefit from Settlement
By working together, Mayor Paul Ricketts and Mr. Donald Tidwell, acting for the Lawrence Utilities rate payers, have come to an agreement that both hope and believe will result in water rate reductions for the citizens of Lawrence.
