Water main repair at 63rd & Lee Road tomorrow morning

Lawrence Utilities will be working a water main break at 63rd & Lee Road starting tomorrow morning at about 8am. As of this time, we do not believe we will be excavating pavement, but we will more than likely have traffic restrictions in place.
 
The traveling public is advised to avoid the area. This will probably be at least a ½ day to fix, maybe longer depending on what we find when we excavate.
 
The main in question is outside the paved roadway, which is helpful, but we will have excavating equipment, dump truck and service trucks in that area. We are monitoring the situation and if it gets worse overnight, we may have to mobilize earlier than anticipated.
