Heavy Trash Collection

Heavy trash will be taken with your residential trash on the 1st scheduled trash pickup day each month. On your scheduled heavy trash pick-up day, City supplied Toter(s) of trash and no more than 2 heavy trash items will be collected.

Items Eligible for Heavy Trash Collection (2 Large Items Only)

• Furniture, Bicycles, Disassembled Swing Sets and other Large Toys
• Household Appliances: Ranges, Water Heaters, Water Softeners (salt and water must be removed).
• Refrigerant containing appliances (Refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, water coolers). These items must have the refrigerant recovered by a refrigerant recovery service and tagged in order for the item to be eligible for pick-up. We will not take it if it is not clearly tagged!
• Tree Limbs and Shrubbery tied in 3 foot bundles no more than 3 feet around.
• Up To 2 Automobile Tires BUT ONLY IF CUT INTO FOUR PIECES ALL THE SAME SIZE.

Items NOT eligible for Heavy Trash Collection

• Construction or Demolition Debris: Concrete, Bricks, Cinder Blocks, Plaster, Roofing, etc.
• Dirt, Sod, and Sand
• Paint Containers
• Auto Batteries
• Steel Fence Posts
• Gas Tanks
• Oil Tanks
• Car Parts (Engines, Transmissions, Doors and Fenders, etc.)
• Hot Tubs
• Electronic Equipment (TV's, computer monitors and equipment, DVD players, ect.) - Effective 1/1/2011
• Extra trash bags are not considered heavy trash
