Parade Application

If you would like to participate in the Independence Day parade on Monday, July 4th, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. please complete the following application. You may also print an application and return it to us by mail of fax by following the directions at the bottom of this page.

The Lawrence Independence Day Parade theme is Patriotism. All entries must have a patriotic theme/flag decoration/bunting, etc.
Flyers & brochures are not allowed along the parade route as they become trash along the road. Limit your handouts to actual items!
Signs will not be provided by the parks department. If you want a sign, you will need to provide your own.

We must receive your application no later than June 17, 2011 to guarantee a position in the parade.

Float and/or Vehicle Information

Length of Vehicle		Please enter the length (in feet) of any vehicle that will be participating in the parade. Leave this field blank if no vehicles will be participating.
Length of Float		Please enter the length (in feet) of any floats that will be participating in the parade. Leave this field blank if no floats will be participating.

Number of Walkers		Enter the number of walkers that will be participating or leave this field blank if there will be no walkers participating. Please limit the number of walkers to less than 10.
