I invite you to visit and enjoy the City of Lawrence’s outstanding recreational facilities and parks which highlight the natural beauty of our city. We have 11 city parks, totaling 280 acres, where you can hike, play sports or take your children to a playground – but there is so much more.
In addition to our first class parks, we also offer a number of recreation programs including a variety of activities for seniors and special event celebrations throughout the year. There are also a number of organized youth sports leagues in Lawrence, and you will find them listed below.
And don’t forget, many of the parks have all the equipment you need to host a class reunion, family celebration, summer party or wedding reception.
