Kristie Krone (D)

Kristie and her husband moved to Lawrence just over 20 years ago and proudly raised their three children in Lawrence Township schools. She currently has two grandcats named Biscuit and Penny. Kristie is an AVID tutor at Lawrence North HS as well as an editor with a remote company. She discovered her true passion is giving back to the community that has been so kind to her family and has served as a Girl Scout Leader and a PFO and LCPAA Executive Board member. She’s currently an active member of Moms Demand Action and the League of Women Voters. 

In her downtime, she loves to read books, especially non-fiction. For every book she completes, at least three more are added to her never-ending queue. When the dark winter months settle in, she loves to lose herself in a jigsaw puzzle. However, her preferred activity, the one that makes her heart beat fastest, is enjoying live music. Summer concert season fills her soul. 

Kristie is excited to represent District 6 and serve all residents of Lawrence. She will collaborate with the rest of the council to ensure Lawrence is a city that offers its residents services to enhance their lives. Kristie is extremely proud to be part of such a community-driven council.
