Lee Road Park Projects

Lee Road Park is currently under construction with 3 exciting projects:

8 new Pickleball courts will open by the end of the year. A combination of tennis, badminton and ping-pong — Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America.

The Nature Trail that was created in 2020 will be fully paved this year, and new fitness stations will be installed, providing a free place for the community to exercise. 

Over 2 acres of land at Lee Road Park has been dedicated to the City of Lawrence Butterfly & Pollinator Habitat. Once established, this habitat of native plants will provide nourishment for a variety of butterflies and pollinators.
