Daniel Beyer is a creative storyteller and communications leader who loves helping people in Lawrence share their stories. As the Director of Communications for the City of Lawrence, Indiana, he manages the city’s social media, website, marketing, and branding—crafting messages that connect residents with their community. He’s led projects from launching VisitLawrenceIndiana.com to designing neighborhood identities and producing videos that highlight local events and initiatives. He also oversees live-streaming of public meetings from the Public Assembly Room, ensuring transparency and accessibility through the city’s YouTube channel.

Daniel’s career began in the arts at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, where he spent a decade producing award-winning videos, collaborating with curators and artists, and managing the groundbreaking ArtBabble.org platform. His work there brought art to life for audiences near and far.

A Ball State University graduate with a degree in Telecommunications, Daniel is also an experienced photographer, licensed drone pilot, and award-winning documentary filmmaker. Whether telling the story of a new local restaurant or a skate park revitalized with community graffiti art, he’s driven by curiosity, creativity, and a passion for showing how great the City of Lawrence truly is.
