Chavis begins term as president of Common Council

At-Large Councilwoman Lisa Chavis was elected President of the Common Council January 2. Elizabeth Wheeler, District 6, was elected vice president during the Common Council meeting.
The Lawrence Common Council elected Lisa Chavis president and Elizabeth Wheeler vice president for 2018 during the regularly scheduled Common Council meeting last night.
