LPD welcomes three new officers aboard

This morining, LPD welcomed three new Officers to their ranks, with a swearing-in/Oath of Office ceremony by Mayor Collier.

 

Officer Matthew Weber comes to the LPD via McCordsville PD, where he served admirably for the past 10 years. Officer Weber is a 2006 graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. 

 

Officer Matthew Zmich is from the Marion County Department of Child Services, where he served since graduating from Franklin College in 2011 with a degree in Sociology. 

 

Officer Cory Cox comes to LPD from the Indiana State Capitol Police, where he has served since 2015. Officer Cox is a 2016 graduate from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. 

 

 

Deputy Chief Gary Woodruff said, "We're grateful for the commitment exhibited by these three new Officers to serve the citizens of Lawrence as our newest Officers. Welcome Aboard!"
