LPD continues partnership with Beacon of Hope Crisis Center

Chief David Hofmann recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) continuing LPD's established partnership with the Beacon of Hope Crisis Center, as provider for victim advocacy services.

 

Staffed by victim advocates, volunteer program assistants, and a contractual counselor, Beacon of Hope provides comprehensive services to domestic violence victims that include crisis intervention, court accompaniment, advocacy and outreach, assistance filing protective orders, proving basic needs (i.e. toiletry items, paper products, household items, etc.), case management, individual and group counseling, emergency hotel assistance, foster pet care assistance, employment assistance, shelter and housing referrals, teen dating abuse outreach, and ongoing follow-up care.
