Honoring our first responders at 9/11-360

LPD Chief David Hofmann, Mayor Steve Collier and LFD Chief Dino Batalis joined leaders from Indianapolis at the Indiana War Memorial to honor the first responders and victims of the 9/11 attacks 17 years ago in New York and Washington DC.

LPD Chief David Hofmann, Mayor Steve Collier and LFD Chief Dino Batalis took part in the Indianapolis ceremony honoring the 2,997 victims of the 2001 attack. Last Saturday, at the Indiana War Memorial, Mayor Collier took part in the tree planting and 9/11-360 Memorial Ceremony honoring the first responders who bravely went into the Pentagon and World Trade Towers to save lives, while risking their own 17 years ago. Mayor Collier said, "One of the most moving parts of this ceremony was talking with the families of first responder families, those heroes, and unfortunately, casualties of the attacks."
