Williams Comfort Air Chooses to Relocate Company Headquarters to Lawrence 

The heating, cooling and plumbing company, who currently calls Carmel home, will be bringing ­­­new jobs to Lawrence

Lawrence, IN – Mayor Steve Collier announced the formal completion of an agreement between Williams Comfort Air and the City of Lawrence that will see the family owned and run company relocate their headquarters to 10640 E 59th Street in the coming months. Williams Comfort Air is an Indiana residential HVAC and plumbing company with more than 200 employees.

Williams Comfort Air currently run their operations out of Carmel, where they oversee a service area that encompasses all of Central Indiana. The company expects to invest at least $700,000 to renovate an existing building previously occupied by ICOR International Inc. to serve as their new home. The renovated structure will consist of office space, a training center, a call center and warehouse/dry storage space.

The City’s Redevelopment Commission has agreed to terms with Williams Comfort Air for a $75,000 training grant, which will support Williams goal of training a new generation of HVAC and plumbing certified technicians. The grant will be administered through EmployIndy, a group who specializes in providing Marion County residents with access to services and training necessary to secure a livable wage and grow in a career that meets employer demand for talent.

This agreement marks another addition to the Lawrence Trades District, an economic development initiative designed to make Lawrence a true hub for trades professions in Central Indiana. Under the guidance of Lawrence Economic Development Director Cam Starnes and the Redevelopment Commission the City has secured millions of dollars in private investment and added hundreds of skilled trade jobs. Williams Comfort Air will join the likes of Freije RSC, Mission Mechanical, Midwest Remediation, and Amerifence as key anchors of the expanding trades district.
