Lawrence Launches Housing Ready Task Force

As housing costs continue to rise across the country, the City of Lawrence is taking action. Mayor Deb Whitfield has launched the Housing Ready Task Force, bringing together local leaders, realtors, and residents to tackle housing affordability and plan for the city’s future.

The task force meets weekly to assess needs, explore solutions, and ensure Lawrence remains a place where all types of housing can thrive—for seniors, veterans, young families, and everyone in between.
