In Memory of Former Mayor Thomas Schneider
The City of Lawrence is flying our flags at half-staff in honor of former Mayor Thomas Schneider who passed over the weekend. Mayor Schneider served as mayor for 16 years, was a Marine, and a member of the Indianapolis Police Department for 24 years. He was a dedicated servant to our community and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Tax Assistance for Senior Citizens
Mayor Jessup is pleased to announce AARP is sponsoring tax assistance to senior citizen residents of the City of Lawrence on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lawrence Community Center, 5301 North Franklin Road. This service is free of charge and will continue until April 15, 2012. For more information, please contact Sharon Francis at 549-4836.
