Did you know? Claudio Castillón Lévano

September 28, 2021

A Peruano native and engineer, Claudio realized the death rate for premature babies in Latina America and the Caribbean was astonishingly high. So behold Levano created a portable respirator and incubator that would help save the lives of high-risk babies born before full-term gestation in neonatal intensive care (NICU). This invention is one of the most groundbreaking inventions of the last decade because it regulates temperature and reduces the risk of contamination to babies.
