56th Street & Pendleton Pike Construction Update 

Starting tonight at 7:00 PM (July 1), INDOT will switch construction to the west side of 56th Street at Pendleton Pike. The east side will reopen to traffic, and crews will begin work on the west approach. A signed detour will direct traffic using Mitthoeffer Road to bypass the closed area.

Also beginning next week: Expect lane restrictions at Pendleton Pike and Franklin Road as INDOT begins work on the signal improvements at that intersection.

This work is part of the Indiana Department of Transportation’s larger US 36 / Pendleton Pike corridor improvement project, which will continue into late 2025.
