Captain Williams retires after 28 years of service

Lawrence Fire Chief Dino Batalis (far left) and Mayor Steve Collier (far right) congratulated Captain Jeff Williams today during the flag retirement ceremony in his honor. He has served the City of Lawrence for 28.5 years as a firefighter. Battalion Chief Pat Griffin (third from left) presented Captain Williams with his retirement badge during the ceremony at Station 36 on Oaklandon Road.
