Improvements begin at Government Center

Demolition to the front entrance began today at the Ronald E. Brooks Lawrence Government Center. Department of Public Works/Code Enforcement Director Bill Anthony said the project will improve accessibility to meet current ADA standards. Crews took out the former brick pathway and sidewalks to clear the way for the stamped entry that will be installed next week. Temporary entrances are available on the north and south ends of the building. Offices remain open during normal business hours during the construction project.
