LPD, City honor Officer Craig Herbert's dedication

Captain Tim Steele, Mrs. Wendy Herbert, and Chief David Hofmann stand at the wreath and portrait of fallen LPD Officer Craig Herbert at the Government Center today. The ceremony marked the 14th anniversary of Officer Herbert's death in the line of duty March 6, 2005. Hofmann said Herbert's bravery, service and commitment to his community were hallmarks of his service, Hofmann said to the gathering of police officers, firefighters and city officials. Herbert was a proud 12 year Army veteran, a member of the FOP #159 and American Legion Post 115.
