Frontline Festival Postponed

As many of you are aware, the City of Lawrence had planned to have a re-opening celebration and a salute to our first responders and frontline workers on September 5th. Unfortunately, we have not been able to adequately arrest the spread of Covid 19. At this point large crowds may put several additional people at risk and in our case this would have included many of our health care workers and first responders. With this in mind and because we are charged with taking all precautions to insure the health of our citizens, I have decided to postpone this celebration until we begin to witness the conditions prescribed by Governor Eric Holcomb and Doctor Kristina Box will allow all of us to safely enter into Stage 5 of our reopening. Please continue to have faith – we will get there!
