Girl Scouts commit to Take Action Plan for Lawrence

Girl Scouts from Amy Beverland joined Mayor Steve Collier for a service project presentation last week. Jenna Shobe's Girl Scout Troop worked to identify and solve a community problem and then met with Mayor Collier to discuss the actions they took. Ms. Shobe said the girls wanted to work on trash pick-up due to littering on Pendleton Pike near Sunnyside Road. In addition to picking up the unsightly litter, the troop developed a presentation for local businesses and the mayor.
