Mayor flips coin for township rivalry football game

Mayor Steve Collier flipped the coin for Lawrence Central-Lawrence North varsity football game August 31 at LC's Ed Martin Automotive Group Stadium. A sell-out crowd enjoyed the close game, with the Bears victorious over the Wildcats, 20-14. Mayor Collier, LC Principal Franklin Bush, LC Athletic Director Ryan Banas and Lawrence Township Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Shawn Smith met for the coin toss.
