Shockey named Dispatcher of the Year

LPD Chief David Hofmann, Dispatcher of the Year Ron Shockey, Communications Director LiAnn Wolfe, Mayor Steve Collier, and LFD Chief Dino Batalis joined the 13 telecommunicators from the McCoy Street Communications Center to present the 2019 award to Shockey. He joined Lawrence's communications team in February 2013, said Wolfe. Batalis and Hofmann agreed the dispatchers are an essential partner in the public safety services to this community and thanked all dispatchers for their service. Mayor Collier presented Shockey with the 2019 award.
