Wildcats win Marion County's baseball crown at Victory Field

Lawrence North's 17-5 varsity baseball team won the Wildcats' first Marion County championship in baseball since 1995. Coach Richard Winzenread's Cats prevailed over Speedway, Franklin Central and Brebeuf enroute to the title game victory over Perry Meridian, 3-0. Junior right-hander Ty Johnson got the shut-out with 11 strikeouts and only five hits in the championship bout.
