Police Officer Mark Maxwell Honored by Indianapolis Indians

At every home game falling on a Saturday, the Indianapolis Indians honor a retired or active member of the military or any first responder with their “Hero of the Game” award. This award is bestowed upon men and women of service and sacrifice in our community. Last Saturday, Lawrence Police Department Officer Mark Maxwell, who also serves as a full-time firefighter with the Indianapolis Fire Department, received the well-deserved recognition. Mark is also a pastor of a Lawrence-area church, and provides safety and security for the staff at Financial Center First Credit Union, who nominated him for the expression of appreciation. Congratulations, Mark! Way to represent the Cities of Lawrence and Indianapolis in a fine tradition of service!
