Franklin Road is now closed between 47th and 45th Street

Please be advised that Franklin Road is now closed between 47th and 45th Street. We expect the road closure to last approximately 2 months. This closure is necessary for the safety of the workers and traveling public. Advanced notice signs were placed in the community three weeks ago and detour routes have been marked.

We appreciate motorists’ patience and cooperation as our contractor works to replace the old water main. Above all, we want everyone to be safe. The best bet is to plan ahead to find alternative routes and avoid the area if possible. This is just a part of a lot of new projects that are coming for what is termed “Old Lawrence”.
