Director of Minority and Women Business Development Appointed

Mayor Steve Collier has appointed current City of Lawrence Human Resources Director Janette Jackson as Director of Minority and Women Business Development. Jackson said, "I am honored to serve in this capacity. Lawrence is a diverse community, and I’m committed to building partnerships to help veterans, women, and minorities ensure business opportunities with the City of Lawrence”.

An executive order was signed by Mayor Collier in March 2019 creating the Office of Minority and Woman Business Development.
