$2.5 Million Intersection Improvements Began Today

August 27, 2020

Work began on approximately $2.5 million in traffic improvements at the intersection of Fox Road and Oaklandon Road today, August 27. Indy DPW is partnering with the City of Lawrence to better regulate traffic flow and enhance safety at the intersection by replacing the current three-way stop with a four-way traffic signal.
Pedestrian improvements along Fox Road by the City of Lawrence include a boardwalk, new sidewalks with ADA ramps and pedestrian pushbuttons at various crossing locations.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane at times throughout the project. Pedestrians should expect to see the removal of sidewalk ramps beginning on Friday.
The intersection and adjacent sidewalks should be complete in Spring 2021. For more information, visit indy.gov/DPW.
