2021 Field of Honor
July 2, 2021
The Field of Honor is a display of 500 American flags (3 ft. x 5 ft.) posted to honor those who contribute to the health & safety of our community, and protect our most precious gift, our freedom. This year, the Memorial is dedicated to First Responders (police, firefighters, EMTs) and Military Personnel, Health Care, & Essential Workers who persevered through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today at 12:00 pm, the City of Lawrence, Lawrence Police & Fire Departments, the Exchange Clubs of Hancock County & Lawrence, the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame, the American Legion Department of Indiana, and the Greater Lawrence Chamber of Commerce conducted an Opening Ceremony for the Memorial.
The Field of Honor Flag Memorial is located in the field between the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame, and the American Legion Department of Indiana, in the 5300-5400 block of Herbert Lord Rd, Lawrence. It will be on display from July 2-5, available for viewing at all hours of the day and night.
