Dep. Chief of Operations Jim Hardie Retires

After 35 years of service to the citizens of Lawrence, Dep. Chief of Operations Jim Hardie has retired from the City of Lawrence Fire Department. Jim worked his last shift this past Friday.

He has touched many lives, not only here in Lawrence, but throughout the fire service. All retiring members of LFD receive an American Flag that has been flown over their station, and LFD hosted a flag presentation ceremony today at Station 37 with friends and family.
