56th Street Reconstruction Update 

INDOT's reconstruction of the east approach of 56th Street at Pendleton Pike is underway and expected to last through early June, weather permitting. This important infrastructure improvement is part of a larger Indiana Department of Transportation US 36 Pendleton Pike project that will continue into late 2025.

Even with the closure, Crew Car Wash, White Castle, and ALDI remain accessible from Pendleton Pike. Never Enough Storage is still reachable from 56th Street. Poindexter Drive is open, but only right turns are allowed onto 56th Street.

Reminder: The west side of 56th Street is expected to close in late May or early June for a similar 45-day reconstruction.
