Live Longer in Lawrence Community Partner Summit

Last week, we hosted the first-ever Live Longer in Lawrence Community Partner Summit at the Lawrence Community Center!

Community leaders, health professionals, and residents came together to brainstorm how we can build a healthier, more resilient Lawrence — starting with where we live, learn, work, and play.

Mayor Deb Whitfield opened the event, followed by key insights from Dr. John Kunzer, Chief Medical Officer for the City of Lawrence, and Liz Bowman, MPH, from the Marion County Public Health Department, who shared eye-opening data on local health outcomes.

We explored three areas of focus: Neighborhood Health, Mental Health, and Physical Health.

It was a powerful and energizing first step — and we’re just getting started!
