Lawrence Volunteers Help Provide Thanksgiving Meals

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped distribute food at our Free Thanksgiving Groceries Giveaway at Lawrence Community Park! It was a wonderful event, and we were able to provide everything needed for a hearty holiday meal to 300 registered households.

This annual giveaway is made possible through our partnership with the Lawrence Police Department and the Indianapolis Office of Public Health & Safety Division of Community Nutrition and Food Policy. We’re also grateful to the Walmarts on East Washington Street and Pendleton Pike for generously donating the groceries.

And a special thank you to Mayor Deb Whitfield and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett for stopping by, engaging with families, and encouraging our volunteers.
