LFD Crew Presented with Stork Award

Four members of the City of Lawrence Fire Department received the Stork Award after they helped bring a new baby into the world en route to the hospital. Mother and baby are doing great.

The Stork Award is given to EMS-certified professionals who assist with a non-hospital delivery of a newborn as part of their EMS duties.

LFD Chief Wallace, Mayor Whitfield, and Robin Stump from IDHS EMS, presented Civilian EMT Cloud, Civilian Paramedic Albrecht, FF/EMT Lutgring, & Lt. Rehmel with the Stork Award from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security EMS Division.
