Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We honor the lives lost, the bravery of first responders, and the resilience of our nation in the face of tragedy.

As we reflect, we recommit ourselves to the values of unity, service, and community that carried our country forward in the days after. The City of Lawrence stands with all who continue to grieve, and we express our deepest gratitude to those who serve and protect us every day.

We will never forget.
