This week, we proudly recognize National Public Works Week and celebrate the dedicated employees of our DPW, Streets, and Lawrence Utilities teams who help keep our city running every single day.

We want to recognize the essential work these employees perform, both seen and unseen, to support the city of Lawrence. From maintaining roads and infrastructure to supporting water and sewer systems and storm response. Their efforts form the foundation of a strong and thriving community.

These teams are often the first to respond when challenges arise and help keep essential services operating year-round.
