2026 Lawrence 4th Fest Parade Grand Marshal

As we celebrate America's 250th Birthday, we're honored to recognize a leader whose life reflects a legacy of service.

Please join us in congratulating our 2026 Lawrence 4th Fest Parade Grand Marshal:

• Retired Brigadier General Wayne Black, the first African American Brigadier General in the Indiana National Guard and a distinguished military leader with nearly 30 years of military service.

General Black made history through his leadership and dedicated his career to serving our nation, including a deployment to Afghanistan.

Join us Saturday, July 4, as General Black leads the Lawrence 4th Fest Parade beginning at 10:00 a.m., then stay for a full day of family fun!
