Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway A Success

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Lawrence Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway such a success!

Together, we distributed:

• Over 400 backpacks filled with school supplies and hygiene essentials
• More than 800 hot dogs 

This event wouldn't have been possible without the many volunteers who grilled and wrapped hot dogs, distributed backpacks, painted faces, welcomed families, and helped wherever they were needed.

A huge thank you to our amazing community volunteers, Mayor Deb Whitfield, City of Lawrence staff, members of the Lawrence Common Council, the Lawrence Police Department, and the Lawrence Fire Department, who even brought a fire engine for kids to explore!

We also want to extend a special thank you to Fall Creek Family Dental and Gentle Dentist for their generous donations and support.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and joined us. We hope all of our students have a fantastic school year!
