LPD Wins Community Safety Day Kickball Game

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Community Safety Day at Lee Road Park!
We served more than 1,000 hot dogs, welcomed a helicopter, watched safety demonstrations, connected with community resource vendors, and wrapped up the day with the Police vs. Firefighters kickball game.
Mayor Deb Whitfield threw out the first pitch and congratulated the Lawrence Police Department on taking home the win!
Thank you to all of our public safety teams, city staff, partners and volunteers who helped make the day a success!
