Fireworks Do's & Don'ts in Lawrence

As we gear up for 4th of July celebrations, here’s what you need to know about when and where consumer fireworks are allowed in the City of Lawrence: ✅ WHEN you CAN use fireworks: June 29 – July 3 & July 5 – July 9: 5:00 PM to 2 hours after sunset July 4: 10:00 AM to Midnight 🚫 WHERE you CANNOT use fireworks: On public property, including: Parks Streets & roads Public rights-of-way In shared residential areas, such as: Subdivision common areas HOA greenspaces Let’s all celebrate safely and respectfully this holiday. Follow the rules, protect your neighbors, and enjoy a fun (and legal!) Independence Day.
