IPL: 79th Street will be closed for intermittent periods until Sunday

IPL will be replacing poles until Sunday 10/17/21 along 79^th Street between Fall Creek and Sunnyside.  79^th Street will have intermittent periods where it is closed to traffic while the poles are being set.  It would be best for residents or travelers in the area to follow the detour route signs until Sunday.  After the poles are set, the contractor will be pulling new wires from 10/18/21 until 11/1/21 and there will be lane restrictions with flaggers letting a lane go at a time.  Expect delays in this area until November 1^st.
