Flags at half staff honor officers

"The tragic news we learned yesterday reminds us of the risks we ask of all of our public safety personnel to take each and every day. Please keep the Allan and Waters families in your thoughts and prayers today, and in the coming days and weeks as they work through these tragedies," Mayor Steve Collier said. Mayor Collier asked that all flags be flown at half staff in the City of Lawrence.
